alcohol counseling
 What will the virginia court system do to a 14 year old with three alcohol charges? okay, so my daughter is 14 and she recently for two alcohol charges. she’s now on probation, has alcohol counseling, and 100 hours of community service. This morning she got her third alcohol charge. What will the court most likely do to her? Please give me some answers* continue her probation with perhaps additional restrictions. One thing you can be almost certain of she’s not going to a secure juvenile detention or correctional facility. And certainly not an adult facility. Because Virginia accepts federal money for its juvenile justice program it’s prohibited from placing juvenile status offenders (and underage alcohol possession is a status offense) in secure (locked) facilities. I don’t see an out of home placement unless there are serious underlying problems at home which are causing or contributing to her alcohol issues or her conduct in the community places her at undue risk for harm to herself or others |
