My Experience with Humanity Unites Brilliance

MP3 File

Hello, I am Tamara Johnson, your host of The Get Out of the Mud Show. Thank you for joining me. Today I want to share something with you because I'm so excited about a movement that I've become involved in that I think is going to make a tremendous impact on our planet.

It was on the weekend of November 30th through December 2nd of 2007 that I was invited to attend a conference that has changed my life. It was my publisher, David Hancock at Morgan James Publishing, that invited me with a last-minute e-mail. He had told me to attend every event I could because as a first time author, the powers that exist want to see that I'm doing my part to rise above the obscurity of the masses of nameless, faceless authors who've also written books. The name of the organization is Humanity Unites Brilliance and the website is www.hubhub.org.

From the website, I couldn't quite figure out what the organization was about, but I had a feeling that it didn't really fit with shameless self-promotion by new authors. So, I registered for the event with an open mind and a prayer in my heart that I would discover the purpose for my attendance at the event. The journey to the conference was actually pretty tough. It was raining and a jackknifed truck on the 605 freeway stretched my travel time from what should have been just over an hour to 3 hours. So by the time I reached the conference, I was pretty grumpy and felt impatient about sitting through a sales presentation. I went in and sat down with my arms and legs crossed and a "prove it to me" attitude.

On the stage, the speaker was wearing a red plaid shirt and a Kukui Nut Lei. He spoke in a strong English accent and I could hardly find the patience to listen to what he had to say. In fact, as soon as he finished talking, the group went on break and I called my husband to tell him that I thought I was wasting my time. I decided to stay, though, and by the time the group broke for lunch I knew I had to be a part of this organization. I also knew that Mr. Kukui Lei (his name is actually Charlie Gay) was going to be very influential in my life. He has a wonderful, generous heart and is committed to changing the world for the better.

In fact, when I called my husband about an hour after the first phone call, I was crying and could hardly talk. I told him that HUB is going to help me to obtain my dream of healing women and teaching them to overcome every obstacle. I believe that as women, we have limiting beliefs that are handed down to us as efficiently as the replication of DNA. My calling in life is to teach women everywhere how to overcome limitations that are downloaded through generations and from societal attitudes until we have an effective revolution of powerful, self-aware women who know how to care for themselves well enough that they give to the world without depleting themselves. Those women will raise healthy, self-aware, generous children who maintain their own sense of self while contributing meaningfully to the world. My ultimate vision is to take this dream to women who have been touched by Domestic Violence and create radical, lasting change in their lives.

As I have learned over the past month, HUB provides an amazing opportunity to join with humanitarians/visionaries who are passionate about changing the world and getting behind my vision and YOUR vision, once you share it or giving you the opportunity to join a cause that is someone else's vision that you wish to support with time, talent, experience, etc. But I'm starting at the end because the part about supporting emerging humanitarian dreams like mine represents the "fringe benefit" of Humanity Unites Brilliance. The focus of the company has three parts: 1) to provide transformative training from the World’s Greatest Teachers, 2) to donate or invest the vast majority of profits to important humanitarian programs, and 3) rewarding HUB marketing partners (that's me and you) with generous commissions.

If you want to see what it means to combine business with humanitarian causes, look at the website that my friend Zebiba created with Linda Kammins to support the women and children in the poverty stricken and war torn African nation of Eritrea. It is www.biofragrance.com - the fragrance is delicious, by the way! The humanitarian programs supported by HUB include bringing clean water to schools in African villages, feeding and educating children in America and third world countries and providing micro-loans to women in third world countries that will enable them to lift their families from poverty. The micro-loans will support women in third world countries who are learning to create banana silk, for example, to sell in the global internet market at global prices rather than selling their wares for fifty cents on the streets in an obscure village. Go to www.ThreadsForLife.com to see what gets created using natural, eco-friendly materials like banana silk created by a company that gives back.

The model and mission of Humanity Unites Brilliance are beautiful. It is founded and organized by the brightest individuals with the experience in Multi-Level Marketing, Fortune 100 companies and Non-Profit Organizations. They are committed to maintaining a "for benefit" model wherein everyone wins and the majority of the profits actually go to humanitarian causes instead of getting drained by bureaucratic waste.

I am deeply moved by and passionate about Humanity Unites Brilliance. Because of that, I feel an obligation to share what I have found with you. Go to the website www.hubhub.org and see it for yourself. Make your own decision and know that either way you choose, you have my greatest blessings!

This is Tamara Johnson. Thanks for listening.
